Marketing Research Analyst
This position will gather critical industry and competitive data that
will be used to make important strategic and tactical business decisions
that will lead to increased short and long term profitability, revenue
and market share for the company. Responsible for the timely collection,
collation, analysis and distribution of data to enable Discus Dental,
Inc. to gain and sustain a competitive edge in the dental supplies
marketplace. Responsible for coordination of all information and data
requirements, and maintaining overall understanding of developments
in the dental industry. Duties will include: Along with the Director
of Marketing Intelligence, will provide marketing and competitive
intelligence to meet specific defined marketing needs as well as research
and analysis. Organize large volumes of data from multiple sources
and synthesize it into organized formats for quick access on an as
needed basis. Work frequently with numbers that will help define market
share, revenue size of market, and other similar quantitative measures.
Work with the Director, Marketing Intelligence to identify the research
objective embedded within basic marketing issues. Have a good understanding
of design, execution and analysis of research projects. Further understand
how/why the intelligence gathering methodologies are appropriate for
addressing the research objective. Use a variety of tools (databases,
open source information, business contacts) to obtain information
required to support strategic decision-making. Analyze data and assist
the Director prepare recommendations, presentations and other documents.
Work easily in an environment where obtaining the data required to
successfully complete a project is often difficult to obtain, abstract
or not available in standardized formats. Candidates must have: Bachelor's
degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and one to two
years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination
of education and experience. Must have strong coordination, facilitation
and communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a focused
team. Must have a high level of comfort and familiarity with using
the Internet as a tool to find information. Intermediate skill level
in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
International Administrative Assistant
International order processing including overall logistics and contact
with freight forwarders. Maintain distributor lists, order office
supplies, organize and update customer files, distribute marketing
material to clients. Planning and coordinating annual distributor
meetings. Miscellaneous day-to-day problem solving. General administrative
duties, such as answering phone, faxes, e-mails, filing. The International
Administrative Assistant will assist with all international order
processing procedures including coordinating the shipping and freight
arrangements with the client. Support international distributors with
detailed information regarding orders. Will assist Territory Managers
and Service Manager with daily activities. Will plan and coordinate
annual distributor meetings. Maintain and update customer files and
other departmental documents including marketing material. Assist
with obtaining export documentation and product licensing documentation
for international distributors. Provide translation services for documents
and advertisements, as appropriate. Must be bilingual English/Spanish
with excellent written and verbal skills in both languages. Multi-lingual
skills a plus. Must possess organizational and interpersonal skills,
is a resourceful team player, have the ability to problem solve, multitask
and work independently. Order processing experience necessary. Knowledge
of international order processing including shipping logistics and
export documentation is helpful. Meeting planning experience helpful.
Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power
Point, & Excel. Knowledge of Quark and Quark Express a plus. Associate's
degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school;
or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent
combination of education and experience.
Marketing Brand Manager, Curing Lights and Restoratives

We are currently in search of a Product & Marketing Brand
Manager for our Restorative product line, with a primary focus
on our new Curing Light products. This position will be responsible
for implementation of brand strategies, new products launches
and overall brand profitability. Duties will include: Assisting
in determining brand strategies and positioning including new
products and promotional campaigns. Work with Brand Director and
Product Development on new products as well as revisions to existing
products. Help determine yearly forecasts and budgets. Assist
in creation of concepts and execute plans for brand advertising,
direct mail campaigns and patient literature. Collect and analyze
response rates. Create and revise Bills of Materials as necessary.
Provide Packaging Masters and help set quality standards for all
brand finished goods and associated componentry. Coordinate any
market studies, focus groups, competitive price and cost analyses.
Candidates must have a degree in Marketing and 3 to 5years experience
in marketing a cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or dental product. Candidates
with experience in dentistry and knowledge of curing lights preferred.
Senior Accounts Payable Clerk
General Description: Will be responsible for full cycle Accounts
Payable, including check runs. Code, batch, match and input invoices
and expense reports. Make sure all invoices and expense reports
have appropriate support documentation and approval. Vendor account
analysis and reconciliation. This is a fast paced environment
with a high volume of invoices. Candidates must have experience
with a 3-way match. Qualifications: 3 years experience in Accounts
Payable. Manufacturing environment experience preferred. Must
have strong Excel skills and be proficient in Microsoft Word.
Should be able to communicate effectively with vendors and other
departments. Should take ownership, be a self-starter, and be
highly organized. Must be able to handle High Volume. Must be
accurate. Must have attention to detail.
Director, International Sales and Marketing
Plans, directs, and coordinates the international sales/marketing
of organization's products and services by performing the following
duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. Establishes
international strategic marketing goals to meet corporate objectives
and increase market share and profitability of products and services
worldwide. Develops and localizes comprehensive marketing plans
and programs for international regions, consistent with market
demands and long-term profitability. Researches, analyzes, and
monitors financial, technological, and demographic factors of
international markets to capitalize on market opportunities and
minimize effects of competitive activity. Establishes and maintains
relationships with strategic partners. Presents international
marketing activity reports to executive management. Directs and
coordinates activities of department or division for which responsibility
is delegated to further attainment of goals and objectives. Reviews
analyses of activities, costs, operations, and forecast data to
determine department or division progress toward stated goals
and objectives. Develops and implements strategic sales plans
to accommodate corporate goals. Directs sales forecasting activities
and sets performance goals accordingly. Reviews market analyses
to determine customer needs, price schedules, and discount rates.
Advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales and
advertising techniques. Analyzes sales statistics to formulate
policy and assist dealers in promoting sales. Represents company
at trade association meetings to promote product. Delivers sales
presentations to key clients in coordination with sales representatives.
Meets with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining
relationships and negotiating and closing deals. Coordinates liaison
between sales department and other sales related units. Assists
other departments within organization to prepare manuals and technical
publications. Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume,
potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
Monitors and evaluates the activities and products of the competition.
Recommends or approves budget, expenditures, and appropriations
for research and development work. Travel is required 1/3 to 2/3
of work year. Candidates must have: Master's degree (M. A.) or
equivalent; or ten+ years related experience and/or training;
or equivalent combination of education and experience. To prescribed
style and format. Ability to effectively present information to
top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
International Regional Account Executive
This position will maintain and expand sales with existing distributors
in Europe and South America; monitor sales, marketing & ordering
activities, work closely with the distributors & focus on market
share growth. Primary duties are to increase sales and provide service
to the territory distributors, establish contact and maintain strong
relationships with territory's distributors, travel to the territory
countries once every 2-3 months, implement marketing strategies in
the territory's countries, become familiar with local legislative/regulatory
issues affecting the import of company products, coordinate product
representation at local trade shows & seminars and train foreign
sales staff. Candidates must have a BA/BS and five+ years related
experience. Must be fluent in written and spoken English. Must be
able read and speak Spanish fluently. Sales and international business
experience is a necessity to succeed at this position. Must be independent,
self-motivated and computer literate.
