The Complete Series - A complete x-ray series is the foundation of a thorough dental examination. It will reveal any cavities, failing restorations, or periodontal disease that are not readily apparent. For this series, eighteen individual film packets are positioned inside the mouth. The emitter is positioned, and the x-ray is taken. The emitter is then repositioned as each successive exposure is made.
