 | Flammable Limits in Air % by Volume:
 | Auto-Ignition Temperature:
 | Extinguisher Media: Use dry chemical, CO2, alcohol resistant
foam, water spray
 | Special Fire Fighting Procedures: Use water to keep fire-exposed
containers cool. Firefighters should wear self-contained breathing
apparatus in the positive pressure mode with a full-face piece,
when there is the possibility of exposure to smoke, fumes or hazardous
decomposition products
 | Unusual Fire & Explosion Hazards: Heat, aging or contamination
can lead to explosion or polymerization
| | | | | | |
PHYSICAL HAZARDS (REACTIVITY DATA):
 | Stability: Stable under normal conditions of use and storage
 | Conditions to Avoid: Heat, sparks and flame, ungrounded metal
containers, contamination. Use promptly
 | Incompatibility (Materials to Avoid): Acids, bases, amines,
bromines, chloroform, hydrogen peroxide, strong oxidizers, plastics,
rayon, ketones and acetaldehyde

HEALTH HAZARDS:
 | Acute:
 | Chronic: Prolonged exposure over TLV may cause mucous membrane
irritation, fatigue, weakness, headache, hematological and central
nervous system changes, conjunctivitis
 | Threshold Limit Value:
 | Signs and Symptoms of Exposure:
 | Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: None Known
 | Chemical Listed as Carcinogen or Potential Carcinogen:
 | Emergency & First Aid Procedures:
 | Routes of Entry:
 | Inhalation: May irritate nose, throat. Prolonged or repeated
exposure to large quantities: headache, fatigue. Move victim to
fresh air. Give oxygen for difficult breathing. Seek medical advice
 | Eyes: Flush the contaminated eye with flowing water for 15 minutes.
If irritation persists, obtain medical care
 | Skin: Possible allergic skin reaction. Prolonged/repeated exposure
may cause skin to become red or dry. Wash affected area thoroughly
with mild soap and water. If irritation develops or persists,
seek medical advice
 | Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed; nervous system depressant.
LD50 (rat): 10.7 ml/kg. For large quantities dilute by drinking
water, but only if the person is conscious. Induce vomiting with
syrup of ipecac. Give activated charcoal. Obtain emergency medical
attention

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS AND SPILL / LEAK PROCEDURES:
 | Precautions to be taken in Handling and Storage: Store tightly
closed at room temperature in a dry area, away from incompatible
materials. Avoid heat, sparks and flames. Ground metal containers.
Empty containers may retain residual product and should be handled
appropriately
 | Other Precautions: Wash thoroughly after handling. Use with
adequate ventilation. Keep container closed. Empty container retains
vapor and product residue; observe all safeguards
 | Steps to be taken in case material is released or spilled: Wear
gloves and splash goggles. For small quantities (as in this product),
absorb spill inert material or paper towels. Place all material
in covered chemical waste container for disposal away from heat,
sparks and flames. Wash spill area with soap and water. Follow
all government regulations when disposing. Keep spills out of
sewers and open bodies of water

SPECIAL PROTECTION INFORMATION / CONTROL MEASURES:
 | Respiratory Protection: Under normal conditions of use, the
surgical masks worn by dental staff are adequate. If used in vivo,
a high-speed evacuation tip should be used to protect patient.
When airborne limits are exceeded, a NIOSH-approved respirator
with full faceplace is recommended
 | Ventilation: Under normal conditions of use of this product,
no special ventilation is required. Large quantities of acetone
require local exhaust to keep exposure below the TLV
 | Local Exhaust:
 | Mechanical:
 | Special:
 | Other:
 | Protective Gloves: Recommended
 | Eye Protection: Safety glasses or splash goggles are recommended
 | Other Protective Clothing or Equipment: Wear long sleeves, apron
or lab coat over clothing, to protect skin. If used in vivo, use
rubber dam around tooth to be etched and high-speed evacuator
tip or other protective devices for patient. Mask all surrounding
tissue. Emergency eye wash fountain should be available
 | Work / Hygienic Practices: Routine
